The July meeting will be our annual 'Ice Cream Social.'
But it will be more than social.
There will be lathes set up at stations to teach and practice a few techiques.
There will be at least three lathes, possibly 5, plenty to teach and practice several topics.
Some examples of topics could be:
1. Basic turning (e.g., turning the outside of a bowl, seeing the shape)
2. Shear scraping
3. Coring out
4. Hollowing through a small opening
5. Sanding and finishing
Bring tools.
Not just to use with the lathes, but Barry and Laura will bring and demonstrate their Tormek grinder.
If you need some sharpening, this will be the time.
So...come do some slurping and turning!
